I grew up in a football household; my father was a coach, my older brother played football, and I played football as soon as my parents let me! I was also fortunate enough to play for my father in college (Georgia Tech) and then work for him while he was coaching at UCF (I was his Director of Football Operations, later becoming an Assistant Athletic Director).
It’s a background that allows me to understand what coaches and players go through. It’s not like other professions. You don’t go home at 5pm and forget about it until the next day. You also don’t stay at the same company for 30 years and get a gold watch when you retire.
In 2016, I transitioned from being the ‘business person’ of the football office to helping football coaches as a financial advisor.
I studied and earned the CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™) and ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant®) designations along the way. I love still being connected to football in a way that helps coaches and their families prosper.
Outside of my ‘football family’, I also work with friends, referrals and other connections I’ve made. It’s awesome getting to know each client and helping them with their unique circumstances.
It’s extremely fulfilling to see the advice I give improve others’ lives and I plan to enjoy that feeling for a long time.
